How can TG be inherited?

Some forms of transsexuality are inherited via abnormalities in the power of the androgen receptor gene.

Eric Vilain at UCLA, in collaboration with an Australian university first used high resolution functional MRI technology to prove that meant female transsexuals were hardwired with the transgender drive and follow this up with genetic studies indicating abnormalities in the androgen receptor gene which in turn alters the potency of androgen receptors and secondarily may promote excessive, erratic testosterone flux. Whereas the influences of this on the physical body would be minimal because after all, whereas the testosterone levels are high, they need to be high in order to maintain the normal activity of the androgen receptors, there are other mechanisms whereby testosterone affects the brain. These effects are independent of the testosterone receptor and are therefore exaggerated in terms of their degree and their degree of flux. Furthermore one has to wonder whether affected individuals also possess brain circuits that are anomalous. The end result than would be amplified hormonal stimulation of executive brain areas. The bottom line is that transsexuals do not choose the transgender route, nature chooses it for them, and those who obstruct their freedom to exercise this drive do so at the risk of fueling severe gender dysphoria even to the point of powerful suicidal drives.
